Geger Beach is one of the most famous beaches in Nusa Dua Bali. This awesome beach is a good travel destination for everyone. Honeymoon, family vacation or travelling with a group of friends, Geger is a great place to spend your time during your holiday.
The Beach should be listed as one of the places to visit in Bali. There is plenty of information you could gather before visiting Geger.
Geger Beach in Bali
Nusa Dua is located in the southeastern part of Bali and adjacent to the famous tourist attractions of Tanjung Benoa Bali. Nusa Dua is full of luxury resorts that are famous worldwide. You will find five-star luxury resort all over the place.
The resorts are complete with beautiful white sand beach, world-class facilities and services, bars, restaurants and everything else you can think of, and also managed by ITDC Nusa Dua.
Besides the luxury resorts, Nusa Dua is also famous for being clean and safe for children to swim.
Back to Geger Beach, despite being famous, not many tourists recognize the name Geger.
If you have been to The Mulia resort Nusa Dua or ST Regis Bali, that means you might have come to this beach.
The reason for that is because most tourists are more familiar with the name Nusa Dua beach instead of Geger.
The North And The South Side
Anyway, most of the areas in Geger are open to the public. The northern part of the beach is more popular and crowded compared to the rest.
Walking away from the north side to the south side of the beach, you will be greeted by two stunning luxury resorts. The two luxury resorts are The St. Regis Bali Resort and The Mulia Resort.
The cleanliness combined with the beauty of the beach and ITDC Nusa Dua area, people often refer to the area as The Hidden Paradise of Bali.
The southern coast is less crowded than the northern side. But you’ll still see a lot of sundeck with umbrellas on the beach shoreline.
The sundecks and umbrellas are provided by the resort, for guests who stay in the resort only. Hotel guests can also order drinks at the resort bar located near the beach area, complete with the swimming pool for resort guests.
What to Expect
Geger Beach has beautiful white sand, a fine sand texture, sloping contour, and clear water that so pleasant to the eyes.
This beach is a family-friendly place. Children can swim freely in the ocean. The sea waves are very calm and shallow enough to be really safe and still fun.
In fact, you’ll see a lot of tourists who travel there with their kids.
You can sunbath and relaxing on the shoreline too. Since the beach is not as busy as Kuta Beach or Pandawa Kutuh Beach, you can relax without worrying about the noise.
The atmosphere around the beach is very calm and laid-back.
You could rent the sundeck at around IDR 50k to IDR 70k to have a nap or just laid down and read a book accompanied by the singing of the wind and the waves.
The atmosphere around the beach is perfect for couples on their honeymoon. You will feel as if the beach is only for you and your soulmate.
Especially if you spent the night together at the resort.
Whether you stay or not, you could come to the beach early to see the sunrise and spent the morning together at the beach.
The shallow and sloping contour of the beach makes it great for snorkeling and swimming. You could rent the gear to have a better experience that could be found easily at the beach.
The beach is also perfect for surfing or canoeing, especially if you are a beginner.
Jet ski and scuba dive are also available, but you will find the prices are a bit higher compared to other beaches.
Going along the shoreline and enjoy the beach while riding the camel is a unique activity in Geger Beach which you should try.
The cost is around IDR 265k. Do not hesitate for bargaining to get a good deal. The price could be as low as IDR 130k when the crowded is less.
Head to the Beach
Geger Beach located in Benoa, Badung Regency, in the area of Nusa Dua. Just head straight to Mulia Hotel or Mulia Resort and follow the map if you are using a scooter or car.
Or you could just simply using the online transportation using Gojek or Grab to take you there.
When you arrived at the entrance gate, you had to pay around IDR 3k for the entrance fee.
Another Geger Beach
There are another two beaches in Nusa Dua which has a similar name with Geger Beach. And sometimes if you ask the locals, some of them are mistaken for directing to another beach.
Pantai Geger which literally means Geger Beach, sometimes mistook as the Geger Beach that you’ve read above.
If you love to visit a less crowded Geger Beach, then this beach will suit you.
The main difference is that this beach surrounded by some big rocks while the Geger Beach above is a sandy beach.
It is best to come to this beach at low tide, which is before 2 p.m because the beach has less spacious compared to the beach above when it is on high tide.
Pura Geger Beach
Instead of Pantai Geger, I myself prefer to go to Pura Geger Beach which is located between Pantai Geger and Pura Geger Dalem Pemutih.
The beach has a magnificent combination of white sand, beautiful rocks, and the crystal clear water.
Snorkel, sunbathe and taking pictures are the perfect things to do on the beach.
Sadly, you could not visit the beach when it is on high tide.
The beach is calming, safe, and clean. Great for everyone for any occasion. No doubt about it, Geger Beach is one of the best beaches in Bali.
If you have the time, head to another Geger Beach to have a different sensation and experience.
